INCY: setup and importing a subscription

Where to get it

Install from the store on the device itself, not from a link in search results. Names in this category are easy to imitate, and the reliable check is the same one that works for Happ: look at the publisher on the listing, not at the icon.

On Android, use Google Play on the phone rather than an APK catalogue. Updates matter here more than usual — protocol support and import handling change between versions, and a catalogue copy will be behind.

INCY does not provide servers. An empty list on first launch is the normal state; a subscription link is what fills it.

The thing that decides compatibility is not the app name, it is what your subscription serves. One HTTPS address can carry different protocol sets. If INCY imports your link but one particular server will not start, try another server from the same list before you conclude the app is at fault.

Setup

What you need is the subscription link, not the address of the page where your dashboard opens. Those two are easy to confuse, and they are genuinely different things: the same server can answer a browser with a web page and an app with configuration data. The copy button next to the subscription is the safe source.

After the import, INCY fetches the address and caches the result. A few seconds between pasting and seeing servers is expected. Do not press import repeatedly — you will end up with duplicate profiles and no way to tell which one refreshes.

On iPhone the first connection triggers a system dialog. That permission belongs to INCY specifically, not to your subscription, so iOS will ask even if Happ already had one. Until you confirm it, the server list is visible but the toggle will not engage.

How it differs from Happ

Both do the same job: fetch configurations from a link and create a system connection. Swapping one for the other changes neither your expiry date, nor your traffic allowance, nor who runs the servers.

The differences are in the interface. INCY organises subscriptions and controls differently, so looking for menu items with Happ’s wording will not get you far. Navigate by the action instead: add an address, refresh the profile, pick a server, allow the connection.

If it does not work

Work through it in this order, because each step makes the next one meaningful:

1. No servers after import — the link is the suspect. Copy it again with the button and re-import. The error messages page covers what each failure message narrows down.
2. Servers listed, toggle will not engage — the system permission was not confirmed. Check your device’s VPN settings for an INCY profile.
3. Connects but nothing loads — try another server in the list first. If every server behaves the same in both INCY and Happ, the subscription is what to look at, not the app.
