Karing: setup and importing a subscription

Where to get it

Desktop — the official KaringX releases. Pick the file for your system and architecture. Do not rename a package meant for another platform: the extension reflects how it installs, not just what it is called.

iPhone and iPad — the App Store listing. The genuine app is published by SUPERNOVA NEBULA LLC under app ID 6472431552.

Android — Google Play on the device itself. If the listing is unavailable in your region, take the file from the project releases above rather than from a random APK mirror.

An empty screen on first launch is normal. Karing is a client, not a service with servers of its own; your subscription is what fills the list.

Broad link support does not mean every server will work. A single address can serve several protocols plus extra routing rules. If a profile loads only partially, judge it by whether specific servers connect, not by how many lines appeared.

Setup

Copy the subscription from your provider’s dashboard rather than trying to extract it out of Happ. The copy button preserves the whole string; hand-selection tends to drop the last character or pick up a trailing space, and Karing will then either create an empty profile or report a bad address.

Once the URL is added, the client fetches the list and stores it as a profile. Give the profile the name of the service, not of a country — the servers inside it will change as it refreshes, and a profile called “Netherlands” becomes misleading within a month.

System permission works differently on phones and desktops, but it means the same thing: Karing needs the right to create a network connection. This is not inherited from Happ. Grant it only to an app you installed from a source you verified.

How it differs from Happ

Same job, different surface. Karing exposes more of the routing configuration inside the client, which is useful if you want to control what goes through the tunnel and what does not, and irrelevant if you just want a working connection.

What does not change: the subscription, its expiry, the traffic allowance, and who operates the servers. Those belong to the service that issued your link.

If it does not work

1. Profile empty after import — re-copy the link with the copy button. If the app reports a message, look it up rather than guessing.
2. Profile fine, no connection — check the system VPN permission for Karing specifically.
3. Some servers work, some do not — normal, and not an app problem. Use one that works and mention the rest to your provider.
4. Nothing works in either app — then the subscription is the common factor. Check its remaining time and traffic before reinstalling anything.
