Privacy policy
In short: there is no sign-up, we do not collect names or email addresses, and we do not sell data. The one thing you can hand us deliberately is the string you paste into the key checker. Here is what happens to it.
Who we are
happvpnkeys.cc is an independent reference site about the Happ app. We are not
its developers, not its support, and not affiliated with it. We do not operate
a communications service and we do not run servers for you.
Contact: [email protected] — for anything, including data deletion and corrections to the text.
What we collect
Ordinary technical data
Like any site, we see your IP address, browser User-Agent, the page you opened and where you came from. This is what makes the site work and lets us tell people apart from bots.
The string you paste into the checker
This is the only thing you hand us deliberately. We store the string together with the time of the check.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details. There is no account to create — there would be nothing to put in it.
Why we keep the strings
Three reasons, all practical:
- To improve the checker. Subscription formats differ between services. Seeing real strings shows us where the tool gets it wrong.
- To understand what people arrive with. Which formats are common, which errors repeat, what deserves a page of its own.
- To follow the market. Which subscription services exist and how they are put together technically.
We do not send email, we do not target advertising, and we do not sell any of it. The strings stay with us and are not deliberately exported to third-party services — with one exception, stated plainly below: Metrica’s session recording captures form contents as well.
What a subscription link actually is
A subscription link is access. Whoever holds it can connect to your provider’s servers. That is true everywhere, not only here — treat such a link like a password.
So:
- if a string is sensitive to you, do not paste it. You can check the format by eye using our guide: how the string starts, no stray spaces, a path and an identifier present;
- do not post the link or screenshots of it in chats and forums;
- if you have already shown it somewhere, reissue the subscription in your provider’s dashboard.
How long we keep it
Checker records — 90 days, then deleted automatically. Server logs rotate on the usual schedule, roughly a week.
Analytics
Two counters run on this site: Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics. Both are third-party services; the data is processed on their side under their own terms.
They collect what the visit looked like — page, referrer, device type, approximate region — plus a visitor identifier stored in cookies. That identifier links your visits together, which is why calling the data fully anonymous would not be accurate.
⚠️ Metrica has session recording (Webvisor) switched on. It captures how you moved through the page and what you typed into fields, the key checker included. We use it to see where people get stuck.
The consequence follows directly, and we would rather say it out loud than bury it: if a subscription link is sensitive to you, do not paste it into the form. Check the format by eye instead.
You can opt out with a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection — the site keeps working either way.
How to have your data deleted
Write to [email protected]. Give the rough time of your check and the domain from the link — that is enough to locate the records. We will delete them and reply. No identity check is needed: we do not know who you are anyway.
External links
We link to the official sources for Happ, to app stores and to download pages. Those sites have their own rules and we are not responsible for them.
Links to subscription services are marked as commercial. A visit through them may be attributed to us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. Anything substantial is described here rather than quietly folded into a new revision.
Frequently asked questions
Do you store the key I check?
Yes. The string you paste goes into our log, so we can see which subscription formats occur in practice and improve the checker. Records are kept for 90 days and then deleted.
Could you connect using my subscription?
A subscription link technically grants access to servers, so treat it like a password. We do not resell or publish it — but if a string is sensitive to you, do not paste it. Check the format by eye instead.
How do I have my data deleted?
Write to [email protected] with the rough time of your check and the domain from the link. That is enough to find the records. We delete them without asking you to prove who you are.
Do you run analytics or ads?
No ad networks and no data sales. Two analytics counters do run — Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics. Metrica has session recording switched on, so what you type into the checker is captured too. If a string is sensitive to you, do not paste it.
