Happ was pulled from one App Store region
On 7 July 2026 the Happ listing disappeared from the Russian App Store. If that is not your store region, nothing has changed for you — the global listing is live and on version 5.2.0. If it is, your installed app and your subscription both keep working.
What happened
The Happ listing stopped appearing in the Russian App Store on 7 July 2026. It was the third time in three years. The previous one was two weeks earlier, on 24 June; the app came back on 29 June under a new app ID, and for a while store search had not reindexed it, so searching the name mostly returned other people’s apps.
After the July removal the developer said a new Russian build had been submitted for review, without promising a date. Nothing further has been announced since 11 July.
Who this actually affects
Almost nobody outside one store region, which is the part usually lost in translation.
- The global App Store listing — unaffected. App ID
6504287215, seller Flyfrog LLC, version 5.2.0 as of 22 July 2026. - Google Play — unaffected.
- Windows, macOS, Linux, Android APK — unaffected. These come from the project’s own releases and have been published continuously throughout.
So if your App Store account is set to any other country, this is not news about your app. It is news about one storefront.
If it is your region
The developer’s own recommendation is to switch the App Store region and install the global listing.
That is not free of friction. Apple may ask you to cancel active store subscriptions, spend down a store balance, or add a payment method valid in the new region. If that is a lot of trouble for one app, the simpler route is to keep the copy you already have, or install a compatible client and paste the same subscription link into it.
One thing worth not doing: deleting the installed app to “reinstall it cleanly”. The listing being gone does not affect the copy on your phone, but you will not be able to put it back from that region.
The copies
Whenever the original listing disappears, other apps rename themselves and change their icons to catch searches for the name. Listings seen in the Russian store during this period:

Their update dates track the removal dates, which is the tell — they are reacting to a gap in search results rather than shipping a product. None of them is published by Flyfrog LLC.
On 11 July the developer stated that these renamed clones are being reported as trademark infringements.
Your subscription is not part of this
The store distributes the client. The servers, the expiry date and the traffic allowance come from a separate service. A listing disappearing does not shorten paid time, does not change your subscription address, and does not make your link incompatible with anything.
If the installed app still opens, keep using it. If you cannot install it, copy the same link from your provider and import it into another client that supports the protocol — which ones do. There is no reason to buy access again because an app moved.
Current state
The Russian build has been in review since 7 July. That will change at some point, which is exactly why a date in a news article is the wrong thing to rely on — the status page checks each store separately and shows when it last ran.
